Description

The LumboTrain back brace promotes stabilization and an improved posture with its distinct high-low compressive knit and anatomical fit. In addition, a special rigid viscoelastic lumbar pad with flexible massage nubs provides a pleasant intermittent compression massage. It alleviates lower back pain in a targeted manner and counteracts tension. The elastic, breathable knit fabric does not slip, dig in or retain moisture. With two different fit options, the brace adapts perfectly to the body. The slim design and low profile remain invisible under clothing. It allows you maximum mobility without restriction of movement.

Size Measurements

To measure for a Bauerfeind LumboTrain Back Brace, follow these steps:

  1. Waist Circumference:
    • Locate your waist at the narrowest part of your torso, which is usually above the belly button and below the ribcage.
    • Use a flexible measuring tape to measure around your waist, ensuring the tape is snug but not tight.
    • Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
  2. Hip Circumference:
    • Locate the widest part of your hips or buttocks.
    • Wrap the measuring tape around this area, ensuring it stays parallel to the floor.
    • Make sure the tape is snug but not compressing the skin. Note the measurement in inches or centimeters.
  3. Select the Size:
    • Use your waist and hip measurements to find the correct size on the LumboTrain size chart below. If your measurements fall between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.

Additional Tips:

  • Take measurements while standing upright, with a relaxed posture, and preferably wearing light clothing.
  • Repeat the measurements a couple of times for accuracy.
  • Consider seeking assistance from another person for a more precise fit.

These steps ensure you select the most appropriate size for effective support and comfort.

Care Instructions

Cleaning:

  • Hand Wash Only: Hand wash the LumboTrain back brace using lukewarm water (max. 30°C / 86°F) and a mild detergent.
  • Gentle Cleaning: Gently agitate the water with your hands to clean the brace. Avoid excessive rubbing or scrubbing.
  • Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse the brace thoroughly to ensure no detergent residue remains.

2. Drying:

  • Air Dry: Lay the brace flat on a clean, dry towel and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid hanging the brace, as this may distort its shape.
  • Do Not Tumble Dry: Do not use a tumble dryer or any direct heat source, such as radiators or hair dryers, as this can damage the materials.

3. Storage:

  • Keep Dry: Store the brace in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
  • Avoid Sharp Objects: Ensure that the brace is kept away from sharp objects or surfaces that could potentially damage it.

4. Avoid:

  • Bleach and Fabric Softeners: Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, or other harsh chemicals, as these can degrade the fabric and affect the brace’s performance.
  • Ironing: Do not iron the brace, as high temperatures can damage the materials.

5. Inspection:

  • Regular Checks: Regularly inspect the brace for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, contact customer service for advice on repair or replacement.

6. Additional Tips:

  • Use a Liner: To help keep the brace clean and reduce the frequency of washing, consider wearing a thin, moisture-wicking layer between the brace and your skin.
  • Avoid Excessive Moisture: Try to keep the brace dry during use to maintain its structural integrity and comfort.
